When you are just starting a business, it can be really scary.
You have no idea what to expect. Will people like your work? Will you make enough money to continue? Is growth possible?
These are the kinds of questions you ask yourself in the beginning.
You then start growing. These sorts of worries begin to subside, and you become focused on the growth of your business. However, it can be hard to not get caught up in the growth of your business.
It’s important to remember that you didn’t build the business just for the money and growth. The the ability to share your gift with your customers was the main goal.
Today let’s talk about how I can help you grow your business strategically so that your success lasts.
Work/Life Balance
I want to share a story with you that I feel demonstrates why it’s important to be strategic about your business growth.
I worked with a client recently who I was coaching through the growth of their business.
Like many people do, they were focused too heavily on growing as fast as they could. They were losing sight of their vision, not implementing strategic steps to ensure success lasts, and losing a healthy work life balance.
In fact, the work/life balance scale had been tipped entirely too far towards work, and they were experiencing serious mental burn out. Their lack of balance was leading to diminishing energy, vision, and a decreased excitement that their team needed from them as a leader.
To take it a step further, the clients they were taking on were being shuffled through, without the amount of care and attention they deserved.
When I work with clients, we focus on them. How they can implement strategies that will ensure their success in the long run is made a priority.
As your business grows in numbers/size it should pale in comparison to how much VALUE is being added! In other words, I want you to get busier, but I don’t want your focus to be only on the acquisition of new business. I want you to put just as much energy into retaining customers, improving their experience, and increasing their value.
You want your customers to ultimately become your raving fans, not just a one-time customer.
Strategy
This is what I do! I help businesses and entrepreneurs learn how to strategically scale their businesses, helping them to refocus their goals on the whole strategy rather than just growth, or expansion.
